MNANGAGWA VS CHIWENGA: DEADLY POWER FIGHT EXPLODES INTO VIOLENCE
Zimbabwe is now facing a very serious situation. President Emmerson Mnangagwa and Vice President Constantino Chiwenga are involved in a dangerous fight for power. Things are getting worse each day, and the recent violent attacks on businesses owned by people close to Mnangagwa show just how bad the situation has become.
This battle for power started after former President Robert Mugabe was removed from power in November 2017. Since then, the ZANU PF party has been divided, with two main groups fighting to take control. One group supports Mnangagwa, who became president after Mugabe. The other group supports Chiwenga, who played a key role in pushing Mugabe out.
Recently, Chiwenga has begun speaking against Mnangagwa’s leadership. Although he hasn’t openly attacked him, Chiwenga has suggested that corruption is very serious and that Mnangagwa’s government has failed the people. He even warned that corruption is now a big threat to the country’s security.
War veterans have also joined the fight against Mnangagwa. Led by Blessed Geza, these veterans say Mnangagwa must step down. They argue that his government is corrupt, incompetent, and has completely failed the people. Their calls are becoming louder every day, making Mnangagwa’s position weaker.
Things took a shocking turn last night when attackers firebombed businesses belonging to some of Mnangagwa’s strongest supporters. Kuda Tagwirei, Wicknell Chivayo, Tino Machakaire, and John Mangudya were targeted. Cars belonging to them were set on fire, sending a strong warning that the fight for power is turning deadly.
This is not the first time supporters of Mnangagwa have faced threats. Recently, Wicknell Chivayo’s family was attacked. His in-laws were robbed at gunpoint, losing almost US$75,000. This money was part of the bride price Chivayo had paid for Lucy Lulu Muteke. Many believe the robbery was a political warning aimed at Chivayo. He is known to be very close to Mnangagwa and is often seen as a symbol of the corruption linked to the president.
Other incidents have also occurred. There have been mysterious break-ins and threats against people who support Mnangagwa. Insiders say these actions are meant to intimidate and warn anyone who stands by Mnangagwa in this battle.
The violence and threats clearly show how serious this internal fight has become. It is no longer just political talk or quiet disagreements within ZANU PF. This fight has now become dangerous, putting people’s lives at risk. Zimbabwe is at a very critical point, and the future is uncertain.
People are worried about what could happen next. If this fight between Mnangagwa and Chiwenga continues to get worse, the whole country could be thrown into chaos. This would cause even more suffering for ordinary people, who are already facing many difficulties in their daily lives.
Mnangagwa’s future as leader is now very uncertain. The violence and threats against his supporters clearly show that he is losing control. On the other side, Chiwenga and his allies seem determined to take power away from Mnangagwa.
This dangerous power struggle could reshape ZANU PF completely. Whoever wins will decide the party’s future direction and Zimbabwe’s future as a nation. Right now, everyone is watching closely to see what will happen next.
As Zimbabweans, we must stay aware and careful. We must speak out against violence and corruption. Zimbabwe deserves peace and good leadership. We cannot allow our country to be destroyed by a power struggle between a few powerful individuals. It is time for leaders to remember that their actions affect millions of ordinary people who simply want a safe, stable, and prosperous Zimbabwe.
