ZIMBABWE’S SHAME: BULAWAYO-VICTORIA FALLS HIGHWAY SHOWS ZANU PF FAILURE

Zimbabwe is falling apart, and nothing shows this more than the terrible state of the Bulawayo-Victoria Falls highway. This road connects Bulawayo, the country’s second-biggest city, to Victoria Falls, a famous tourist destination known worldwide. But now, this road is broken, unsafe, and embarrassing for the whole country.

Under Zanu PF rule, roads, hospitals, schools, and everything else in Zimbabwe have collapsed. The country looks like it was hit by a disaster, like a flood or an earthquake. But there was no natural disaster—just bad leadership. The ruling party, from the time of Robert Mugabe to Emmerson Mnangagwa today, has failed. Zimbabweans are suffering because of their misrule.

The Bulawayo-Victoria Falls highway is now more of a death trap than a road. Big holes are everywhere, and some parts have almost disappeared. People no longer drive on the road itself. Instead, they move to the edges, driving on dusty bushes beside the road to avoid the dangerous surface. Even a Zanu PF Senator, Prisca Mupfumira, admitted that the road is gone. She called it a disgrace, not just for Zimbabwe but for the whole world to see.

Tourists who come to see Victoria Falls must use this terrible road. They arrive in Zimbabwe expecting a beautiful experience, but instead, they see a broken, neglected road. What does this say about the country? It tells the world that Zimbabwe is not a serious nation. It tells investors to stay away. No one wants to put their money in a country where even basic things like roads are not fixed.

Roads are very important. They connect people and businesses. They allow farmers to transport food, workers to go to work, and goods to move across the country. A good road system helps the economy grow. But in Zimbabwe, the roads are broken, just like the economy. Under Zanu PF, money is stolen instead of being used for development. The leaders are rich, while ordinary people struggle with bad roads, no electricity, no water, and poor healthcare.

The problem is not just the roads. It is the entire system of governance under Zanu PF. They have ruled for over 40 years, and things have only gotten worse. Instead of fixing problems, they make excuses. Instead of building roads, they loot money. Instead of helping people, they arrest those who speak out.

Zimbabweans must ask themselves: How long will we accept this suffering? How long will we allow corrupt leaders to destroy our country? The Bulawayo-Victoria Falls highway is just one example of failure. Everywhere you look, there is more proof—hospitals with no medicine, schools with no books, and families struggling to buy basic food.

Zanu PF does not care about the people. If they did, they would have fixed this road long ago. They would have repaired schools and hospitals. They would have made sure Zimbabweans had jobs and a good life. But instead, they live in luxury while the nation crumbles.

There is only one solution: Zanu PF must go. Zimbabwe needs new leadership, leadership that cares about people and not just power. The people must wake up. They must demand change. The road crisis is just a symptom of a bigger disease—the disease of dictatorship and corruption.

The world is watching. Zimbabweans are watching. The question is: Will we continue to suffer in silence, or will we rise and demand a better future? The answer is in the hands of the people. It is time to stand up and fight for a Zimbabwe that works for all, not just for the rich and powerful.
