A COUNTRY IN CHAINS

In 2021, a country faced tough times because of bad leadership. The leaders only wanted power to help themselves, not the people. They ignored the law and did what they wanted. This hurt the country a lot.

The leaders were part of a group called ZANU PF. They didn’t care about the people’s needs. They only cared about staying in power and getting rich. They used the country’s valuable resources for themselves, not for the good of the people.

The country had a lot of valuable things under the ground like minerals. The bad leaders wanted to keep these all to themselves. They didn’t want to share with the people. They wanted to keep the power and control everything.

They made rules to help them stay in power. They controlled the police and the courts to do what they wanted. They didn’t let people say or do things against them. They used fear to control everyone.

Life was hard for the people. Many didn’t have jobs or enough food. Some young people did bad things because they had no hope. The bad leaders didn’t care about their suffering.

The leaders didn’t want to leave power. They liked the good life they had. But they didn’t care that the country was falling apart. They ignored the law and did bad things to stay in control.

They used the country’s guards and judges to protect themselves. They didn’t let anyone question them. They were afraid of losing power because then people would see all the bad things they did.

But one day, the valuable things under the ground will finish. When that day comes, the bad leaders will run away. They won’t face the bad things they did. They will leave the country in a big mess.

The people hope for a better future. They want fair leaders who follow the law. They dream of a time when leaders will care about them. The country deserves better, and the people hope for change.
