PROMISES BROKEN: A TALE OF A LEADER’S FAILED RETURN

Once, there was a leader who had to leave his country because it was not safe for him. He promised to come back and fix many bad things, like stealing by powerful people. He wrote a letter about it. The leader said he would stop all the bad actions that were happening in his country. A long time ago, the army had removed a very bad ruler named Mugabe, and everyone hoped things would get better.

The leader finally came back. People were hopeful because they believed he would chase away the wrongdoers and bring back fairness. They didn’t know that they were welcoming someone who would not keep his promises.

Sadly, the leader didn’t do what he said he would. Instead, people close to him or his family were often caught doing wrong things. Everyone started to see that he was also involved in the stealing and was benefiting from it. His actions made the country suffer a lot, making life harder for everyone. Things went from bad to worse, and the country was stuck in a bad place, which could also affect nearby places and bring trouble there.

People started to think and talk about why the leader, who promised to fix things, was letting bad things happen. They wondered why he was not stopping the stealing, especially since he was in power and could do something about it. They thought maybe he was afraid of losing good things for himself if he acted against the wrongdoers. The leader, who was once seen as hope, now seemed to be part of the problem.

The ones who suffered the most were the ordinary people. They were hoping for a better life but got tricked. They were still facing hard times while the leader and his close ones were getting richer. The unfairness continued, and the leader who promised to bring change didn’t keep his word. Now, the people knew that his promises were empty, and they felt let down. They learned a tough lesson about trust and promises, hoping one day someone would truly come and make things right.
