A CALL FOR BETTER CARE FOR WAR VETERANS
There is a group of people who want to help war veterans. War veterans are heroes who fought for their country a long time ago. But now, many of them don’t have enough food, jobs, or good healthcare. This group of helpers is saying, “We need to take care of these heroes.” But, this is not easy because there are some other people who don’t want to help. They even bother these heroes and the helpers.
The helpers are different from the other people. They want to make sure the heroes have what they need like clean water, good schools for their children, and places to go when they are sick. They believe these heroes should live good lives because they did so much for their country.
The other people are not nice. They have been doing bad things like stealing and not caring about the heroes or other people. They only care about themselves. They even trouble the heroes who speak up and say, “We need help.” This is very sad because the heroes deserve respect and care.
A very smart person named Tendai Biti is also saying, “We need to help the heroes.” He used to take care of money for the country, so he knows a lot. He believes the heroes should own the lands they were given as a ‘thank you’ for their bravery. This way, the heroes can feel safe and have a home.
The helpers are really hoping to make life better for the heroes. They keep asking everyone to understand and help. They believe if we all care about the heroes, we can make their lives better. And, when the heroes live better lives, the whole country becomes a better place for everyone.
