Once, there was a powerful group called zanu pf in a faraway land. They loved buying shiny, expensive cars and special party clothes while many people in their land had little to eat or drink. They didn’t care for the people’s needs, only about looking fancy and staying powerful. This group had been doing this since 1980, always ignoring what the people really needed.

In old times, when a harsh leader named Mugabe was in charge, zanu pf had only forty-five cars. But when a new leader, Scarfmore, came into power in a tricky way, he started spending a lot of money on many more cars. He thought by doing this, others in zanu pf would like him more and help him stay in charge. The number of cars went up from forty-five to a big five hundred and thirty-one!

Even though they spent so much on cars and party clothes, they also spent two billion United States dollars on a big meeting they had. All this money could have helped the people in many ways, but zanu pf didn’t care. They only wanted to have more money and power for themselves. They didn’t mind breaking rules to keep this power, which let them take even more money, some of which they hid in faraway places.

Instead of buying cars and clothes, this money could have done great things. It could have made hospitals better, schools nicer, and ensured clean water for everyone. It could have also helped make more electricity, which was needed to help factories work better and create things. But sadly, none of this happened.

In simple words, zanu pf chose fancy cars and special clothes over taking care of the people they were supposed to help. They showed that they cared more about their own comfort and power than making life better for everyone in their land. And this story teaches us how important it is for those with power to think of others, not just themselves.
