Mellisa Mbavarira, born Mellisa Govah in the quaint city of Kwekwe, Zimbabwe, embodies the spirit of perseverance and advocacy through her enthralling life journey. Growing up amidst the serene locales of Chihota in Mashonakand East, her humble beginnings were rooted in the nurturing grounds of Samuriwo Primary School (1986-1992) and Mahusekwa Secondary School (1993-1996).
In pursuit of a brighter horizon, Mellisa relocated to Harare, Greendale, finding solace under the nurturing roof of her aunt. The year 1999 saw her embracing the corridors of knowledge at night school at Churchill Boys High School, showcasing her indefatigable spirit for learning.
Around the dawn of the new millennium, Mellisa honed her artistic flair by diving into the realms of Interior Decoration and Design at Zedeco College. This phase not only polished her inherent creative skills but also paved the way for her to appreciate the myriad expressions of life and society.
The year 2006 marked a beautiful chapter in Mellisa’s life as she tied the marital knot, embracing the joyous voyage of motherhood with three wonderful children. The family found their nest in the welcoming community of Greendale, Harare, where Mellisa continued to flourish both as a creative soul and a nurturing mother.
